Twenty-six years of seeing what fire does
I spent 26 years with a local fire authority, from firefighter through to Watch Manager, before retiring in 2021. That experience shapes every assessment I carry out: I look at your building the way a fire crew would, then explain clearly what needs doing and why.
My approach is personal. I tailor each assessment and each training session to the people who use your premises, and I stay available for advice after your report arrives.

Listed at Advanced Level on the IFSM’s National Fire Risk Assessors Register (NFRAR).
Institution of Fire Engineers
Graduate member. Passed the IFE graduate exam in 2015.
Institute of Fire Safety Managers
Full member of the professional body for fire safety management.
Diploma in Fire Doors
Passed with FDIS. Please note Steve is not a fire door inspector.
Fire Protection Association
Member of the FPA, the UK’s national fire safety organisation.

Public and products liability and professional indemnity insurance. Basic DBS certificate.
